A quick note about my approach (from my most common questions)

“Does functional medicine mean you’ll just tell me to eat healthy and take supplements?”

Not at all!

At Healthi Fertility, functional medicine does not replace conventional care. I intentionally blend both so we can address your cycle or fertility concerns fully and appropriately.

Women with irregular cycles, PCOS, post-pill disruption, ovulation disorders, thyroid issues, or unexplained infertility often need more than general lifestyle advice.

Care may include:

  • Targeted medical labs (hormones, thyroid markers, insulin resistance, inflammation)

  • Cycle-specific diagnostics, including pelvic ultrasound when indicated

  • Prescription support when clinically appropriate (ovulation support, progesterone, thyroid or metabolic management)

  • Evidence-based supplements, tailored to your individual physiology

  • Nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support the exact hormone pathways we’re medically working on

In other words — we don’t guess.
We assess, diagnose, and treat.

Lifestyle changes alone rarely resolve true cycle irregularity or infertility. And prescriptions without root-cause support often fall short. Your plan is clinical, personalized, and guided by reproductive physiology.

“What kinds of labs and testing do you offer?”

I order both conventional and functional labs to get a complete picture of cycle health and fertility readiness.

These may include:

  • Hormone and ovulation labs

  • Thyroid testing

  • Vitamin and mineral levels

  • Reproductive health panels

  • Functional testing such as DUTCH hormone testing, genetics, vaginal microbiome evaluation, GI mapping, and sperm analysis

  • Pelvic ultrasound when needed to assess uterine and ovarian health

Together, this data helps us understand why your cycle looks the way it does — and how to support it effectively.

“How is this different from traditional fertility care?”

Most traditional fertility practices step in after you’ve been trying for a while or when advanced intervention is already needed.

My focus is preconception optimization:
Helping you prepare your body before trying — or in the early months — so you have the strongest possible foundation for conception.

That means:

  • Addressing hormone balance, thyroid health, gut function, micronutrients, and cycle regulation

  • Using both functional tools and conventional medical care

  • Being proactive, not reactive

If at any point I see signs that advanced fertility care may be needed, I refer directly to trusted IVF and reproductive endocrinology partners. Your care is collaborative, not siloed.
