Most traditional fertility practices step in once you’ve already been trying and may need advanced interventions. My focus is preconception optimization — helping you prepare your body before you start trying, or in the early months, so you have the best chance at conceiving naturally. I use both functional labs (hormones, micronutrients, gut and thyroid health, vaginal microbiome) and conventional tools (ultrasound, prescriptions, medical management) to make sure your body is ready. If I see signs that you need advanced fertility care, I’ll refer you to trusted IVF partners.

To be clear we do not offer IUI or IVF treatments through our clinic. 

I see you — and I want you to know that your story, your frustration, and your exhaustion matter here. So many women with irregular cycles or fertility concerns have spent years feeling dismissed, rushed, or handed generic advice. I don’t take that lightly. Unlike general wellness programs, your progress here is tracked using clinical markers, diagnostics, and real physiologic change — not guesswork.

Throughout your care, we regularly reassess your hormones, ovulation patterns, and reproductive physiology to ensure your plan is truly effective.

This may include:

• Repeat hormone labs to assess response

• Follow-up imaging (such as transvaginal ultrasound) to evaluate the ovaries, follicles, and endometrial lining

• Ovulation assessment to confirm whether medications or protocols are achieving the desired effect

• Cycle pattern review to identify improvements in timing, symptoms, and ovulatory signs

If we prescribe ovulation support or other medications, we don’t simply hand you a plan and send you on your way — we monitor how your reproductive organs and hormones respond in real time and adjust accordingly.

Your care is active, ongoing, and medically guided so you always know what’s working, what isn’t, and what the next step should be.

I order both conventional labs (hormones, thyroid, vitamin/mineral levels, reproductive health panels) and functional labs such as DUTCH testing, genetics, vaginal microbiome evaluation, GI mapping, and sperm analysis analysis. I also incorporate ultrasound when needed to assess uterine and ovarian health. Together, these give us a full picture of your fertility readiness.

At Healthi Fertility, functional medicine doesn’t replace conventional care. We blend both to give you the best of each world. That means your plan includes medical evaluation, diagnostics, and prescription support when clinically appropriate, alongside nutrition, lifestyle, and metabolic guidance.

Many women with irregular cycles, PCOS, post-pill issues, or ovulation disorders need more than “just eat healthy.” They often need:

• Targeted labs (hormones, thyroid, insulin resistance, inflammation)

• Cycle-specific diagnostics, including when indicated pelvic imaging

• Prescription medications for ovulation, progesterone support, thyroid regulation, or metabolic optimization

• Evidence-based supplements tailored to your physiology

• Nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support the hormone pathways we are medically working on

In other words, we don’t guess — we assess, diagnose, and treat.

Your care plan is clinical, customized, and guided by a deep understanding of reproductive physiology. Lifestyle alone rarely fixes cycle irregularity or infertility. And prescriptions without lifestyle support often fall short, too.

Absolutely! Fertility takes two, and I strongly encourage partners to be part of the process. Sperm health, hormones, and lifestyle factors can play just as big a role as egg quality and cycle health. I can order functional and conventional labs for your partner and review results with both of you. This way, we’re supporting your fertility as a team.

Every woman is different, but ideally I like to work together for at least 6–12 months before pregnancy. This allows time to optimize hormone balance, replenish nutrient stores, and address any hidden obstacles. Most patients see me for an initial visit, results review, and at least 2–4 follow-ups, depending on their needs. Think of it as preparing the healthiest environment for your future baby.

At this time, my practice does not take insurance. This allows me to spend the time needed with you (usually 60 minutes for our first visit), use a broader range of labs, and create personalized plans without the restrictions of insurance coding. You may be able to use HSA/FSA funds for labs and visits, and I can provide receipts for out-of-network reimbursement if your insurance allows.
